Role Overview:
As an Operations Associate, you will play a key role in supporting Uprise Partners' operations by managing procurement, logistics, inventory, and vendor relationships. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and services, both internally and externally, and will work closely with the operations and delivery team leaders to continuously improve operational processes. Your success will be measured by your ability to effectively coordinate these activities, support sales and project teams, and maintain high levels of accuracy and timeliness in your work.
What You Do:
- Procurement: Execute timely and accurate procurement of goods and services, using Uprise’s professional services automation platform to manage purchase orders, vendor information, and tracking numbers. Communicate any discrepancies between sales and purchase orders and maintain solid relationships with vendors.
- Logistics: Coordinate delivery systems to ensure items arrive as needed, using data to track logistics and provide visibility to stakeholders.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels in Uprise’s inventory platform, conducting regular audits and ensuring availability of required hardware and software. Recommend using existing inventory where appropriate.
- Vendor Management: Maintain strong vendor relationships, manage vendor performance, and drive value for the company.
- Facility Management: Monitor and purchase office supplies, perform general facilities maintenance tasks, and assist with visitor management.
- Finance Support: Assist with preparing inventory, product and shipping information as part of the invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Operational Support: Manage operational queues within Uprise’s professional services automation platform, ensuring timely completion of requests and tickets, documenting processes and resolve issues effectively.
- Customer and Team Interaction: Engage with internal teams and external customers in a professional and collaborative manner to support operational needs
- Shipping and Receiving: Oversee all shipping and receiving at the office, including handling shipments, creating labels, and coordinating with carriers like UPS and FedEx. Accurately record, process, and deliver items to the correct destinations, including inventory and configuration. Communicate with internal teams to track shipments and ensure proper documentation. Maintain shipping records, verify accuracy, and resolve any discrepancies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in operations, procurement, or a related field, preferably within an MSP or technology environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization and with external partners.
- Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and adapting to shifting priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow processes, and make informed decisions to meet operational needs.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft 365 applications, especially Excel skills, and using Teams and SharePoint for collaboration and document management.
- Familiarity with platforms for managing procurement, inventory, and logistics.
- Strong general understanding of technology is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
- Lifting: Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds for tasks such as moving equipment, setting up workstations, or handling hardware components.
- Computer Work and Visual Acuity: Comfort with focusing on screens and monitors for extended periods of time for troubleshooting, configuration, and monitoring tasks, with strong visual acuity to discern fine details on screens and equipment, crucial for troubleshooting and configuring complex systems.
- Mobility and Stamina: Ability to move around office or client sites as needed, including bending, kneeling, and reaching to access equipment or perform installations.
- Manual Dexterity: Occasional need for manual dexterity, including tasks such as assembling hardware, connecting cables, and performing detailed configurations.
